The "Presidential" Immigration Speech

I was busy playing with my balls during the speech. I tried to pay attention, but knew nothing would be gained.

Reading a couple summations after the fact I found I missed something important: earned citizenship. It seems for the first time that I can recall in six years President Bush Junior has illustrated the wisdom of a ten year old. In finally acknowledging those illegal immigrants who have been citizens of this country for one, two, three, and four decades have the inherent right to be legalized. There is no doubt the process will be unnecessarily burdensome, but it is an overdue form of assistance to people that have shown nothing but dedication to America. Moving 10,000 troops to help protect the border remains a moronic and hardly beneficial move as there is no clear outline to deal with immigration through cars, planes, and boats.

Ya know, the other three ways people are getting in to this country aside from running through a barren desert.

Considering the reduction in troops going to Iraq Bush Junior must feel they need to be somewhere doing something pointless to earn their keep. Oh well. Maybe they will build a wall the scale of the one in China built to keep people out during seemingly more dangerous times. The fishing metaphor at the end of his speech was utterly hysterical. I bet Latin immigrants everywhere are proud to be called fish. Oh well. It is better than being a sheep.

Isnt it?
